Mountain Action

Mountain Action is a group of concerned individuals working to abolish mountaintop removal. Mining companies and government policies are commiting violence against the Appalachian people and land for profit and power. As they commit these crimes, we take action for the mountains. We're working with Climate Ground Zero, Mountain Justice, Rainforest Action Network and Appalachian friends. We come from all over the country in solidarity with Appalachia. We're using a variety of tools including non-violent direct action, grassroots organizing and high profile media events to acheive that goal.
